my jewellery is connected to my life!

Today I decided to get on with it....getting a bit fitter that is. I have for a couple of days, spurred on by my husband been going out for a brisk walk. Today I went alone and in honor  of wearing my running shoes I did a few short bursts of jogging to push my fitness up just a tiny bit.

What you ask has this got to do with making jewellery? Well as I briskly walked along I realised that I have got quite a bit started this year in my business - a blog, facebook page, twitter account, a new outlet, new beads and designs (some already for sale others still in the design or quality control stage) Oh and my newly printed amethyst coloured jewellery boxes...

The boxes are the most exciting new development this year as I have never had boxes with my business name printed on before. Above all I always love making the jewellery but over the last few weeks I have got bogged down...so whilst walking and thinking I realised that after much struggle and procrastination I have finally started on my new get fit routine my business needs a similar momentum. Thus this blog post and tomorrow a speed tidy of my work space and putting up of my new wall planner. Then after a quick review of stock levels a whole flurry of new jewellery. First for our shop ( No.1 The Stone Barn) and then for the website ( www.spiritofcolourjewellery.co.uk ).

After much pulling of hair and stressed eyes my website is finally up and ready for all my lovely customers to view and buy whenever they like!

More jewellery will be added as its made and photographed. Yet the business has much to do ...next week a big buying trip. All those lovely beads and so little time. The day will be exciting once I get over the buying nerves I always get before arriving at the venue.

I have plans for printed boxes (eco) ofcourse and a new bracelet style is being tested for later in the year too. And those are only the tings I'm working on at the moment...I have new UK lampwork bead makers to find to continue my successful range introduced last year. Oh and I have a very exciting long long earring style to make...these will be on sale soon too if you like to wear really long dangly styles thoough I must admit I am making this because I want it!

All the fun of a new website design!
I'm really excited (and pleased) at how the new website is going to look. Its bright and colourful and easy to use. Just click on your favourite colour and you have a page full of fab jewellery to choose from.
For so long my website and workroom needed a make over and it all began because I realized that I needed to move forward with my jewellery design. So far the new earrings and website pictures are all I hoped they would be...so here's to the next week of tweaking and improving until I have it just right.

Well its been a bit of a trial to get my first blog ...and I thought I was fairly computer literate!

From now on though I will be talking about all things jewellery related so all will be well!
